Italian Journey

A solo exhibition of paintings by the local artist Bridget Robertson.
"For everyone,life could be considered as a journey and as an artist that journey could be recalled visually.The places i have travelled are mainly around the Mediterranean Sea,scattered with the evidence of its Roman past. It has been the sense of time,the texture and mood of those ancient things andftheir dazzling settings, that has inspired me. The paintings are rich in the texture of terracota,stone and the colours of sun washed flowers. The images i have created in oil paint are the result of many layers of colour built up to create an impression of those shapes and surfaces which seem very beautiful to me."
Bridget is a well established local artist who has exhibited nationally,pictures are available on request.
