Mindful States was an exhibition of inspirational people exploring the issues and influences of mental health on their work and the use of art to explore their personalities.
During the exhibition there were a number events held at the Chameleon Gallery including; the private view on the evening of the 6th October, a celebration of the Dawn Jones Art Prize on the 10th and the launch of 'Confidences and Confessions' a spoken word CD of service users experience by Alan Cheeseman, a day of cake and conversation at the Chameleon Gallery.
Confidences and Confessions
Confidences and Confessions is a CD bringing together the experiences of various mental health service users from Walsall and exploring their stories and the methods they employ to cope with their issues. It is aimed to challenge the stigma surrounding and bring understanding to the complex conditions.
